Shimla: The weather department has forecast light to moderate rainfall at a few places across Himachal Pradesh up to Sept 17, with isolated light rain likely on Sept 18.Minimum temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged over the next three or four days, while maximum temperatures may gradually decline by 2-3℃ thereafter.Moderate rain lashed several parts of the hill state on Friday and Saturday, with Kangra recording the highest rainfall at 34.3 mm, followed by Shimla (25.8 mm) and Mandi (12.3 mm).Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 10.7℃, while Una was the hottest on Saturday with a maximum of 35.5℃.The rainfall blocked 68 roads, disrupting essential services and affecting 142 power transformers by Saturday evening. Thirty-six roads remained blocked in Mandi, 11 in Kullu, and 10 in Kangra.The state has incurred estimated losses of over Rs 1,661 crore since June 30, while 296 people died due to various weather-related causes, including 177 road accident deaths across the state.
