Nagpur: Sakkardara police have registered a case against 12 individuals, including the president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), for operating a DJ beyond permissible sound limits during a Dahi Handi celebration held near Chota Tajbagh.The booked include BJYM president Kuldeep Mate, sound system owner Arpit Malghate, and Ketan Sathawane, Akshay Kharabe, Uday Dhemne, Rajesh Kale, Vijay Thakur, Ankush Bhure, Aryan Palandurkar, Suraj Bansod, Chetan Rathod and Aniket Sable.The case was registered on the complaint of PSI Sachin Funde. It is the second offence registered since CP Vishwas Nangre Patil issued the notification restricting high-decibel sound systems.According to police, Mate had organised a Dahi Handi competition at Chota Tajbagh Chowk on Sept 6. PSI Funde and other police personnel were deployed at the venue. During inspections, police measured sound levels at 101.2 decibels at 8pm and 100.5 decibels at 9:20pm, well above prescribed limits.
