The crime branch and AHTU are probing the possibility of a wider network involving bonded child labourers. Police said the two main accused worked as labour contractors, hinting they may have taken several other children. The two targeted mainly orphans and those whose parents were mentally unstable or physically unfit to earn a livelihood.
