Buxar: District magistrate Sahila on Saturday sought an explanation from district education officer (DEO) Indra Kumar Karn over the delay in reporting the alleged abuse of a girl at a govt middle school in Dumraon block and initiated dismissal proceedings against three teachers, including the headmaster, after an FIR was registered against them on Thursday.The DM asked Karn why the administration was informed several days after an obscene video linked to the case began circulating and why action should not be initiated against him for the alleged lapse.Sahila said a detailed investigation was underway and warned that strict action would be taken against those found guilty. “No one will be spared if negligence or culpability is established at any level,” she said.She added that instructions had been issued to initiate dismissal proceedings against three teachers, including the headmaster. “The process is being carried out in accordance with rules and is currently underway. Further action against those found responsible will be taken after the investigation is completed,” she said.The case came to light after an obscene video allegedly linked to the incident went viral on Aug 31.Meanwhile, DEO Indra Kumar Karn has sought an explanation from Dumraon block education officer (BEO) Sudhanshu Kumar over the matter. The administration is also examining whether officials at the school, block and district levels failed to report the matter promptly after the video surfaced.
