Panaji: State govt has capped the additional fee for delays in renewing a vehicle’s certificate of fitness at Rs 1,000 until May 31, 2027.The transport department, in a notification, said the concession applies to motorcycles, three-wheelers, quadricycles, light motor vehicles, medium goods or passenger vehicles, and heavy goods or passenger vehicles.In a separate notification, govt revised the fitness certificate fees for older light motor vehicles and medium goods or passenger vehicles.For light motor vehicles, the fee is now Rs 3,000 for those older than 15 years but not exceeding 20 years, and Rs 6,000 for vehicles older than 20 years.For medium goods or passenger vehicles, the fee has been fixed at Rs 2,000 for vehicles older than 13 years but not exceeding 15 years, Rs 4,000 for those older than 15 but not exceeding 20 years, and Rs 8,000 for vehicles older than 20 years.
