Jhunjhunu: Villagers from Nayavasi and Gangasagar ki Dhani in Ward 5 of Agawadi, Neemkathana, warned on Friday that they would boycott the upcoming municipal elections unless their longstanding road problem was resolved. The villagers, whose settlements in Sikar district were included in the municipal area this time, said, “No road, no vote.”They alleged that repeated representations to public representatives and administrative officials had failed to secure a permanent solution, leaving residents to face daily travel difficulties.Villager Sanwalram Saini said the road problem had existed since Independence. The lack of road access made arranging marriages difficult and created considerable problems in taking sick people and pregnant women to hospital, he said.College student Sangeeta said she faced difficulties commuting and had to call someone to collect her after college. She urged govt to provide a road. The villagers said they were opposing the system, not govt, and would boycott voting if the road was not provided before the elections.
