Ghaziabad: A 13-year-old girl who had gone out to buy noodles from a shop in her neighbourhood in Wave City was raped by three teen boys, two of whom are minors, police said.The girl is a student of Class 7 in a private school. She told cops that one of the accused, a 15-year-old, is a student of Class 10 in her school. The second minor is 17 years old while the third accused, an 18-year-old, has just started college.The minors were detained while the 18-year-old has been arrested, an officer said.ACP (Wave City) Priyashri Pal said the girl stepped out of her house around 2pm. The 15-year-old and the two other accused, his friends, ran into her and took her to the 15-year-old’s uncle’s house in the same neighbourhood. The house was empty and the three assaulted her there.“When the girl returned home one and half hours after she was supposed to, her father asked her why she was late. Then, she broke down and narrated the incident to her mother,” the ACP said.The girl’s mother filed a police complaint immediately. A medical examination conducted thereafter confirmed that the girl was raped.An FIR has been registered against all three accused under the sections 137 (2) (kidnapping), 70 (2) (gang rape) of BNS and relevant sections of the Pocso Act at Wave City police station.“We will soon record the statement of the girl before a magistrate,” the ACP added.Ghaziabad has seen several minors being raped in the past six months. On Aug 3, two persons were arrested for raping a 16-year-old girl in Masuri. They had offered her a ride in their car, taken her to an isolated spot and sexually assaulted her.On July 11, another minor was raped and murdered by an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old at an under-construction mall site.In another incident in March, a four-year-old girl was found raped and murdered under a parked car near Teela Mor. The man found to be responsible for the crime was the girl’s maternal uncle.
