Mangaluru: The complainant in the Puttur docu-damage incident told a section of media on Thursday, that they were not keen on pursuing the case in view of attempts to give a communal and political colour to the case. Mubashira, sister of Fathimath Miswana, the complainant in the case, said she was pained to see that such a small incident would escalate and take a communal turn, and that they do not wish to make it another political issue. She said that not a single person who was involved in the jeep fight is related to us. “We do not want this to become a Hindu-Muslim issue. They beat us and it is their mistake, and that is why we lodged a complaint. We want to withdraw the case as we are not in a position to pursue it, and my brother may be compensated for the hospital bill that came up to Rs 15,000,” she said. The incident began when a document was burnt due to a technical problem with a lamination machine.
