Kanpur: A fire broke out at an Ola scooter showroom in the MIG area under Panki police station limits late Tuesday, damaging more than a dozen vehicles and other goods.According to eyewitnesses, smoke was seen billowing from the showroom late at night. Soon, the flames intensified and engulfed the entire premises.On receiving information, two fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot, broke open the shutter, and launched a firefighting operation. The blaze was brought under control after nearly two hours.Preliminary investigation suggests that a short circuit may have triggered the fire.ACP Panki Amit Chaurasiya said the cause of the fire was being investigated and further action would be taken after a complaint is received.
