Kanpur: A 14-year-old boy who had gone missing from the Didarganj area of Patna in Bihar was found at Kanpur Central Railway Station and reunited with his family on Monday evening.According to Om Narayan Singh, inspector in-charge of GRP Kanpur Central, a police team was conducting a checking drive on the station platforms when it spotted a teenager roaming in the circulating area.During questioning, the boy told police that he was a resident of Didarganj in Patna. The GRP immediately contacted his family and learnt that a missing person complaint regarding his alleged abduction was registered at Didarganj police station on Saturday.Family members informed police that the boy left home for coaching classes but did not return.The GRP took the boy into custody and informed Didarganj police as well as his family, asking them to come to Kanpur Central.On Monday, the boy’s family and SI Ranjan Kumar of Didarganj police station reached Kanpur along with other police personnel. After verification and completion of the necessary formalities, the teenager was handed over to the Bihar Police team.Police said the circumstances under which the boy reached Kanpur and whether anyone brought him there would be established only after a detailed investigation. Further action in the case will be taken by Bihar police.
