Times News NetworkJaipur: A 35-year-old man was allegedly murdered during a booze party following a dispute among the those present near Chandlai railway crossing under Shivdaspura police station area Monday. Police suspect that his companions attacked him with a large stone and later dumped his body near railway tracks. The deceased is yet to be identified, only then can the probe progress.The blood-covered body was found around 7 am Monday near the railway track. Soon a crowd gathered at the spot. Shivdaspura SHO Rajesh Gautam said, “Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was hit on the head with a heavy stone. A blood-stained stone was found near the body, strengthening the suspicion that it was used in the attack.”According to initial investigation, victim was drinking with two or three others when an argument broke out. “It appears the dispute escalated after the men, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked the victim and struck him on the head with the stone. After the assault, the accused allegedly fled the spot,” said an officer.A forensic science team collected physical evidence from the spot. Police are examining available evidence and questioning people in the area to establish the sequence of events and identify those who were present during the drinking party. The police sent the body to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
