COIMBATORE: Students dressed up like robots stole the show at Independence Day celebrations at Kavundampalayam Government Higher Secondary School on Saturday.The school marked the 80th Independence Day with a blend of patriotism and technology as students from its STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) laboratory took part in the parade and flag-hoisting dressed up as “robot boys.”The robot-themed presentation drew attention for its creative use of innovation and STEM concepts, earning appreciation from those present. Trainers from the iExplore Foundation guided and supported the students in executing the idea.The school launched the “Cyber Champions Ambassador Programme” to promote cyber safety, responsible digital behaviour and effective use of technology. Under the initiative, selected student leaders will be trained to spread awareness on digital safety, cyber hygiene and online threats and to mentor peers.The celebrations highlighted the school’s focus on STEM education, creativity and digital awareness, with coordinated efforts from the administration, teachers, iExplore Foundation trainers and students.
