Chennai: An eight-year-old boy died from snake bite at his thatched hut in Kovil Pathagai near Avadi on Sunday night.According to police, M Nishish was at home alone on Sunday while his parents hadstepped out for work. Around the same time, there was a power outage in the locality,.Police said Nishish reportedly went looking for his pet cat when he noticed a snake inside the house, which bit him on his leg.Hearing his cries, his parents and neighbours rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Nishish was studying in Class IV at a private school in Avadi.Avadi Tank Factory police registered a case. Further investigation is on.
