Gusty winds, thunderstorms and lightning may occur at isolated places,” he said.Pandey added that strong surface winds may also occur, while sunny spells could continue intermittently amid cloudy conditions. Humidity is also likely to remain high.Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast scattered to heavy rainfall and thundershowers across all districts of the Kanpur division over the next 24 hours due to active monsoon conditions. A yellow and orange alert has been issued for the division. The rainfall is likely to bring down temperatures but may further increase humidity. In Kanpur Nagar, the sky is expected to remain heavily overcast, with a 70%-90% probability of heavy rainfall accompanied by intense thunderstorms during the night and morning hours.
