Kanpur: A 25-year-old man died in a road accident late Wednesday after a speeding dumper allegedly coming from the wrong side rammed his motorcycle and fled, police said.The incident took place in the Maharajpur police station area.According to family members, the deceased, Shivbhola Tiwari, was returning home on his motorcycle from a factory when a speeding dumper hit him near Sarsaul. They alleged that the vehicle ran over his head before the driver fled the spot.Police reached the spot after being informed about the accident and sent the body for postmortem examination.Maharajpur station in charge said efforts are underway to trace the absconding driver. He added that a case would be registered based on the family’s complaint.
