Kanpur: A group of local goons opened fire with a country-made pistol at two brothers over an old enmity in Narayanpuri under the Hanumant Vihar police station area of Kanpur late on Friday night.Victim Ashish Yadav alleged that during a dispute a few days ago, the accused assaulted him and seriously injured him, which led to a fracture in one of his hands. He said a complaint in that matter was made to the police, but no action was taken.Ashish alleged that on Friday night, due to the same enmity, fire was opened at him and his brother with a country-made pistol. He accused 5 to 7 people of carrying out the incident.On receiving information about the incident, Hanumant Vihar police reached the spot and began examining footage from CCTV cameras installed around the scene. Police are investigating the matter. They also recovered one empty cartridge case from the spot.Hanumant Vihar Station House officer Rajiv Kumar Singh said a report will be registered on the basis of the complaint.
