Kanpur: Nine sheep of a livestock rearer were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their enclosure in the Navimohan village under the Sahar police station area in Auraiya late Wednesday.The owner, Ramlakhan, said that he reached his enclosure at around 4 am on Thursday and found nine sheep lying dead, while six writhing in pain with injuries. He said that the dead livestock had deep cut marks on their necks.Circle officer, Auraiya, Naib Tehsildar, Harkishor and Sahar police station in charge Ramesh Singh reached the spot on receiving information, and started the investigation.Ramlakhan told police that this was the second incident in the last six months where his sheep have been found dead.He informed that on Feb 21, 30 of his sheep were found dead under suspicious circumstances, and it couldn’t be ascertained what led to the deaths.Police said all aspects were being examined and further action would be taken based on the investigation report.
