Pune: Two members of a burglary gang who allegedly stole vehicles to use in house break-ins were arrested on Wednesday.The Chikhali police recovered four stolen motorcycles and an autorickshaw, collectively worth Rs3 lakh. Assistant police inspector Subash Chavan and team arrested the accused, Raja Bapardekar (23) of Chikhali and an 18-year-old with criminal antecedents from Hadapsar.“We took Bapardekar and the other accused into custody based on a tip-off. They confessed to stealing the vehicles to use in burglaries,” an officer said.He added, “Bapardekar has 12 theft cases registered against him, while the other accused is wanted in four cases, including robbery, burglary and illegal possession of weapons.“
