Nagpur: Two brothers from Malegaon village in Saoner tehsil allegedly died by suicide by jumping before a goods train on Thursday morning. Sources said the brothers were under stress due to mounting bank debts.Both the deceased, Niranjan Firke (40) and Yogesh (37), were married and lived with their elder brother Dhananjay.The family runs a dairy and bakery in the main market of Saoner. As per police, the family had taken substantial loans from a bank for business expansion. They paid instalments initially but defaulted over the past few months. The bank subsequently issued a notice for attachment of their mortgaged house.Dhananjay had gone out of town with his family on Tuesday night. On Thursday morning, Niranjan and Yogesh went to their fields and later proceeded to the nearby railway tracks. They jumped in front of an approaching goods train and died on the spot, said police. Niranjan is survived by a son and a daughter, while Yogesh had a son.Saoner police conducted panchnama, and sent the bodies for autopsy. The last rites were performed on Thursday evening.
