Jhansi: Chhattisgarh state BJP president Kiran Singh Dev got injured after his SUV dashed into a standing truck NH 44 near Talbehat on Wednesday evening while he was travelling with his family. Dev’s driver is also reported injured while his family members who were coming in another vehicle behind were unhurt.Dev, along with his family had arrived in Jhansi a day earlier. On Wednesday, after visiting Orchha and Datia, he was heading towards Jabalpur. As his convoy was moving on Lalitpur road, the driver of his SUV lost control and the vehicle dashed into a standing trunk on the roadside. Both Dev and his driver got injured.Bystanders rushed for help and in the meantime police and local party functionaries also arrived and they transported the injured to the Community Health Centre and from there they were referred to the Jhansi medical college where Dev is undergoing treatment.Principal of the medical college Dr Sudhir Kumar said after a thorough investigation the doctors detected a hip dislocation. “We have successfully completed the procedure and his condition is stable now”, said Dr KumarDev will be airlifted to Delhi on Thursday morning for further check up. As per the doctors, the condition of the driver is also stable.
