Silchar: A forensic team on Tuesday inspected the Cachar factory where an explosion killed four workers.The team from Guwahati spent several hours examining the blast site at Kade Global Infrastructure LLP in Pangram under Udharbond police station and collected samples for analysis.Cachar SSP Sanjeev Kumar Saikia, additional SP Rajat Kumar Pal and Udharbond police station officer-in charge Chiranjeet Bora accompanied the forensic experts during the inspection.Preliminary reports suggested that an LPG cylinder explosion may have triggered the blast. However, officials said the exact cause would be known only after the forensic report was submitted.The explosion occurred at the metal-processing unit on Sunday, killing four workers on the spot.
