Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel participated in Guru Purnima celebrations at the tribal pilgrimage site of Lusadiya in Arvalli district on Wednesday. He paid his respects at the memorial shrine of tribal saint Surmaldasji, an official statement said.During the celebration, the CM honoured the sixth-generation successor saints of Surmaldasji by draping them with shawls. The CM also exchanged greetings with devotees who had gathered at Lusadiya Dham for Guru Purnima, the CMO statement said.The statement added that while on his way to Shamlaji, the CM set protocol aside and halted his convoy at Lusadiya village school, where he interacted with schoolchildren standing by the roadside. The CM spoke with students and inquired about the facilities available at the school, the statement added.
