Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) on Monday set up a two-day grievance redressal camp at its headquarters here following the directives of the Lok Bhavan to address long-pending issues of teachers, non-teaching employees and retired staff of the university.According to PPU registrar Abu Bakar, the camp was inaugurated by PPU vice-chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh at the university headquarters. “The university had invited applications from all teachers and non-teaching employees, including retired teachers, to submit their grievances so that necessary action could be taken and issues resolved on the spot,” he said.Special priority would be given to cases related to retirement benefits and other pending dues of retired teachers and employees. “The initiative aims to provide quick relief to beneficiaries who have been waiting for the settlement of their claims for a long time,” he said, adding that a team of university officials and concerned sections had been deputed at the camp to examine the applications and take immediate steps for disposal of grievances.“The two-day camp is expected to benefit a large number of serving and retired employees of PPU by providing them a direct platform to get their issues addressed without further delay,” Bakar said.
