GREATER NOIDA: A six-year-old boy died after drowning in a water-filled pit in Greater Noida’s Kaladham Colony on Saturday, with police saying the pit had been dug and subsequently filled with water.The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Knowledge Park 2 police station.According to police, the child fell into the pit after it had filled with water.After discovering the incident, family members rushed the child to a nearby hospital for treatment.However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.Local police have initiated a probe following a formal complaint in connection with the incident.“Based on the complaint of the plaintiff, a case has been registered in the matter. Further legal action is being ensured,” a police official stated.(With ANI inputs)
