KRISHNAGIRI: A woman died on the spot and her husband and two-year-old daughter suffered injuries when a motorcycle they were travelling on collided with a minitruck at Elumichampallam in Krishnagiri district on Monday.The deceased has been identified as Sabeena, 26, wife of Saddam Hussein,32, of Kuppanatham in Tiruvannamalai district. The family was going to Dharmapuri Government Medical College and Hospital when the accident occurred.As they attempted to cross the Elumichampallam stretch, their motorcycle collided with a minitruck carrying hay from Karimangalam towards Tiruvannamalai.“Sabeena, who was riding pillion, sustained severe injuries and died on the spot,” said an officer at the Pochampally station. Hussein, who suffered serious injuries, and their daughter, who sustained minor injuries, were rushed to Pochampally Government Hospital. Hussein was later referred to Krishnagiri Medical College Hospital. The Pochampally police registered a case.
