Times News NetworkKanpur: Chakeri police arrested a criminal Avadhesh Singh, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 who had been absconding for 11 years in a Gangster Act case from Gurgaon in Haryana. Police said he lived there for a long time while concealing his identity.DCP (East) Satyajit Gupta disclosed the case on Friday. He said the Chakeri police had registered a case against him under the Gangster Act, after which he absconded. A reward of Rs 50,000 was declared on him by the police.Gupta said the police surveillance cell and manual intelligence traced the accused’s location to Gurgaon in Haryana. He said the Chakeri police and the East Zone surveillance team, in a joint operation with the help of Haryana police, raided Corporate Greens in Sector-74 of Gurgaon and arrested Avadhesh on Thursday. During investigation, the police found that he lived there while hiding his real identity to evade arrest.After the arrest, the accused was brought to Kanpur. He was presented in the court on Friday which ordered to send him to jail.
