Vadodara: The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) arrested two men for allegedly burgling two houses in the city over the past few days. Police said they received a tip-off that two men were moving suspiciously near Sardar Estate, following which a surveillance team was deployed in the area.The police intercepted a car carrying the suspects, who were identified as Ramkumar Chauhan, a resident of Khodiyarnagar, and Vishal Dantani, a resident of Gorwa. During the search, officers recovered gold ornaments, US dollars, silver jewellery and wristwatches from the vehicle. When questioned about the valuables, the duo failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.Further investigation revealed that Chauhan and Dantani had allegedly burgled two houses in the Subhanpura and Gotri areas, making away with jewellery, cash and wristwatches worth Rs 4.81 lakh. Police said the accused had conducted a recce of both houses before carrying out the burglaries.
