Gurgaon: The district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNSS within a 200-metre radius of all Haryana Board examination centres till July 18, banning the operation of photocopy shops and restricting the movement of unauthorised persons during examination hours.The restrictions will remain in force for the Haryana Board of School Education’s Senior Secondary (one-day, compartment and additional subject) examinations and Secondary (academic) compartment and additional subject examinations being held across the district.According to orders issued by district magistrate and deputy commissioner Uttam Singh, no unauthorised person will be allowed within the restricted zone while examinations are in progress. The operation of photocopy machines and other equipment that could potentially facilitate the use of unfair means has also been prohibited around examination centres.The administration has additionally barred anyone from carrying firearms or other objects that could be used to cause injury within the restricted area. Raising slogans, staging protests or demonstrations, and any activity that could disturb the examination process have also been prohibited for the duration of the exams.The deputy commissioner said the measures were aimed at ensuring that the examinations are conducted in a fair, peaceful and orderly environment while maintaining law and order around examination centres.He warned that any violation of the prohibitory orders would invite legal action under Section 223 of BNS, besides other applicable provisions of law.
