GURGAON: The Gurgaon district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, within a 200-metre radius of all Haryana Board examination centres from July 9 to July 18 to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of board examinations.The restrictions will remain in force during the Haryana Board of School Education’s Senior Secondary (one-day, compartment and additional subject) examinations and Secondary (academic) compartment and additional subject examinations being conducted across the district.Under the orders issued by district magistrate and deputy commissioner Uttam Singh, the movement of unauthorised persons within 200 metres of examination centres has been prohibited during examination hours. The operation of photocopy machines and other equipment that could facilitate unfair means has also been banned in the restricted zone.The orders further prohibit carrying firearms or any objects that could be used to cause injury, as well as raising slogans or staging demonstrations near examination centres throughout the examination period.
