Ghaziabad: A 17-year-old boy whose bike brushed past a car in Loni was allegedly beaten to death by a property dealer and his aide in a road-rage attack on Monday. The accused dragged the teenager into their car, took him to a nearby office and thrashed him again before dumping him by the road outside.Police said the boy, who worked at his father’s dairy farm, was returning home from a local swimming pool with two friends around 3pm when his bike grazed a blue Baleno in the Loni Border area. The assault that followed unfolded in two stages. The victim’s elder brother, Sakir, said two men stepped out of the car and began assaulting him on the roadside. “They started hitting him immediately. When he slumped to the ground, they kicked him and beat him with sticks,” he alleged. The two then forced the boy into their car. One of them, a property dealer named Rahul, drove to his nearby office, while his associate allegedly took the victim’s motorcycle and followed. At the office, the beating resumed. “They kept thrashing him and demanded money for the damage to the car. He was strangled several times and beaten for over half an hour,” the brother alleged.Meanwhile, the teenager’s two friends — both minors — kept calling him frantically after losing sight of him when he was pushed into the car. After repeated attempts, one of the accused answered the victim’s phone and told them, “Tumhara dost yahan pada hai (your friend is lying here),” before sharing the location. When they reached Rahul’s office, they found the teenager lying injured outside, barely conscious. “They splashed water on his face, but he did not respond. The accused told them to take him away or they too would be killed,” Sakir said. The boys took him home on a motorcycle. As his condition worsened, the family rushed him to GTB Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Surendra Nath Tiwari, DCP (rural), said an FIR was lodged at Loni Border police station against Rahul and his unidentified aide under Sections 103 (murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS.“We have arrested Rahul. Teams are searching for his associate,” Tiwari said.SHO Manish Bisht said preliminary inquiry found road repair work had narrowed the carriageway, forcing traffic from both sides into a single lane. Rahul’s car was parked beside the road when the bike grazed it.“A heated argument followed. In anger, the assault escalated,” Bisht said.Police said the autopsy found multiple injuries on the teenager’s body. “The exact cause of death remains inconclusive. We have preserved viscera samples for further examination,” he added.
