Warangal: The commissioner of police (CP) of Warangal district, Sunpreet Singh, has suspended circle inspector M Abbaiah and sub-inspector Sk Hameed following corruption allegations against them. Orders to this effect were issued on Sunday, according to a note issued by the CP’s office.According to the information, Abbaiah was the CI of Narmetta under the West Zone of the Warangal Commissionerate, and Sk Hameed was attached to the Armed Reserve. Hameed had earlier worked in the Bachannapet police station.According to official sources, the suspension was taken following an internal investigation conducted by senior police officials, which confirmed the corruption allegations levelled against the two officers.
