Bajaj Auto Limited on Tuesday informed stock exchanges that it had suffered a cybersecurity incident involving a ransomware attack that affected its systems and those of its wholly owned subsidiary, Bajaj Auto Technology Ltd.
In a regulatory filing, the company said the incident occurred on June 23, 2026, around 8 am IST. Bajaj Auto added that its technical teams, along with external cybersecurity experts and management, responded immediately and initiated precautionary protocols to mitigate the impact.
“Based on the available information at this time, the response measures have been successful,” the company said, adding that the disclosure was being made as a matter of good governance.
The automaker said the incident has been reported to CERT-In in accordance with the requirements of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
