Patna: Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday flagged off a WDG4G diesel locomotive from the Marhaura locomotive factory in Saran district for export to the Republic of Guinea. It was the 51st locomotive exported from the factory, built by Wabtec Locomotive Pvt Ltd under a Rs 3,000-crore contract to supply 150 Evolution Series ES43ACmi locomotives to the West African nation by 2028. Chief minister Samrat Choudhary was also present on this occasion.Addressing the function, Vaishnaw said projects worth more than Rs 1.15 lakh crore are under implementation in Bihar. He added that Patna railway station would soon get five additional platforms and world-class facilities at Hardinge Park.The minister also inaugurated the weekly Chhapra-Anand Vihar (12527/12528) train and flagged off the Mau-Anand Vihar (14355/14356) weekly service through video conferencing. The Dohrighat-Aunrihar passenger train was also extended up to Varanasi City.MPs Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Janardan Singh Sigriwal, ECR GM Chhatrasal Singh and NER GM Uday Borwankar were present on this occasion.
