The motive was to acquire a gold chain worth Rs 5 lakh that Prakash used to wear and a bracelet worth lakhs of rupees.Police said they did not find evidence initially, but identified the killer after examining about 500 CCTV cameras. “When the accused escaped from the coaching centre, he was wearing a burqa. After this, the team members easily reached the accused who had been arrested and sent to jail.”Police said Prakash and Mohit had been friends for about 18 years and used to drink alcohol together.
