Jaipur: In a bid to tackle rising traffic congestion in Mahindra World City and its surrounding areas, RIICO has decided to develop and widen the 200-ft-wide, nearly 4km approach road connecting Ajmer Road to Mahindra SEZ into a modern eight-lane highway.In a recent high-level meeting, RIICO and the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) reached an agreement on the project.Mahindra World City Jaipur is a joint venture of Mahindra & Mahindra and RIICO. The hub houses more than 130 industrial units employing nearly 75,000 people directly and indirectly. Alongside, rapidly growing residential projects have added to the population density in the area.The new road infrastructure promises significant benefits for industries, employees and local residents alike. Reduced traffic pressure will strengthen logistics and industrial activity while improving the overall quality of life in this fast-developing zone.
