A massive demolition drive is underway in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi against the Waqf Board-run ‘Musafir Khana’ properties in the Dalmandi area. More than 300 personnel have been deployed in the area, which includes officials from the PWD, district administration, paramilitary, PAC as well as police. Sharing details about the demolition drive, PWD Executive Engineer KK Singh said that people were given appropriate time for the same, while the demolition action is underway. “This action has been continuously going on for two days,” he added. ACP Atul Anjan Tripathi told ANI that the demolition drive was being carried out on a Waqf property, Musafir Khana.
