Buxar: A parent-teacher meeting (PTM) was held at Govt Engineering College (GEC), Buxar, on Sunday to strengthen communication among the institution, parents and students, and review academic progress. The theme, “Your Child’s Progress, Our Shared Priority,” reflected the objective of the programme.A large number of parents attended the meeting with their children and interacted with faculty members and heads of departments. They were briefed on students’ academic performance, attendance, discipline and overall development. Parents also shared suggestions on academic improvement and personality development, while faculty members addressed their queries.Parents were taken on a tour of the campus, including classrooms, hostel facilities and dining areas. Many expressed satisfaction with the institution’s academic environment and infrastructure.Principal Ramnaresh Rai said the joint role of parents and teachers is crucial for students’ holistic development. He added that such interactions help guide students effectively and improve coordination between the institution and families. He also thanked the parents for their participation.The programme was conducted under the guidance of Associate Professor and dean academics Shyamlal. Heads of departments, assistant professors and staff members from all departments were present and interacted with parents.
