Shimla: Harminder Singh Baweja has been assigned the additional charge of vice-chancellor of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, in Solan district, following the completion of the extended one-year tenure of incumbent vice-chancellor Rajeshwar Singh Chandel on May 8. The appointment order was issued by governor-cum-chancellor Kavinder Gupta under the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986. Baweja, who is serving as principal scientist in the department of floriculture and landscape architecture at UHF Nauni, will hold the charge in addition to his existing duties.
