Jaipur: The ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) has sanctioned an incentive of Rs 60 crore to Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (JVVNL) for adding rooftop solar capacity during the financial year 2024–25.Distribution companies submit claims to MNRE based on the rooftop solar capacity added each year. In the first tranche for FY 2024–25, the ministry approved Rs 1,422 crore across 14 discoms nationwide. Jaipur discom secured ₹60 crore for integrating 187 MW of additional rooftop solar capacity during this period.This incentive dwarfs previous allocations of Rs 14.98 crore in 2019–20, Rs 23.61 crore in 2020–21, Rs 29.13 crore in 2021–22, Rs 14.94 crore in 2022–23, and Rs 22.20 crore in 2023–24.
