Shimla: Temperatures remained above normal across the high, mid and low hills of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, with Una recording the highest maximum at 40°C.According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Kangra recorded a maximum temperature of 36.4°C — 7.2°C above normal; Sundernagar 35.8°C (4.2°C above normal); Mandi 35°C (2.8°C above normal); Nahan 34.9°C (2.4°C above normal); Bhuntar 33.4°C (5.2°C above normal); and Solan 33°C (3.2°C above normal).Among the tourist destinations, Dharamshala was the warmest with a maximum temperature of 33°C — 5.1°C above normal; Shimla 27.2°C (4.7°C above normal); and Manali 26.8°C (4.3°C above normal).The weather department has predicted light rain, snow and thunderstorms in parts of the high, mid and low hills from April 24 to 29.
