Children hear far more than parents realise. They notice how you speak about neighbours, teachers, relatives, domestic workers, delivery partners, shopkeepers and even strangers in traffic. If they repeatedly hear kindness, empathy and respect, those behaviours gradually become normal. If they constantly hear criticism, insults or gossip, those patterns can become normal too.
Children learn respect by watching it long before they understand lectures about kindness. Your everyday conversations become their social education.
