Madikeri: Following intense protests by Hindu organisations, Siddapura police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the unauthorised construction of a tomb within the premises of Sri Siddeshwara Temple, located in the reserved forest near Maldare.On Monday, the temple committee filed a complaint, and protests were held demanding the immediate arrest of the miscreants.SP Bindu Mani RN formed a special team, which arrested eight persons, who are all residents of Periyapatna. The accused are being interrogated, and two vehicles have been seized.The forest department has deployed two guards to prevent illegal entry into the reserve forest. CCTVs have also been installed en route to the temple within the reserve forest.
