Budgam: MLA Beerwah Assembly Constituency Dr Mohammad Shafi Wani on Saturday said that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) amounting to ₹8.50 crore has been submitted to the Jammu and Kashmir Government for road macadamisation and construction of culverts across the Beerwah Assembly constituency.
Speaking to reporters, Dr Wani said the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department has undertaken extensive macadamisation work on roads across the constituency during the current year.
“We have conducted a review meeting with the Chief Engineer and Superintending Engineer of the R&B Department regarding the upcoming macadamisation projects across the Beerwah Assembly constituency. The Chief Engineer has assured me that the department will provide all possible support for development projects in the constituency,” he said.
The MLA said that efforts are also being made to repair potholes and improve the condition of roads falling under his jurisdiction
“We are undertaking macadamisation and pothole repairs on roads in different areas of the Beerwah constituency. For further road improvement and construction of culverts, a DPR amounting to ₹8.50 crore has already been submitted to the Jammu and Kashmir Government,” Dr Wani said.
He further said that a sports stadium is also proposed to be constructed at Rathsun village. The government, he said, has already allocated ₹2.50 crore for the project.
Dr Wani said the proposed road and sports infrastructure projects would help improve connectivity, public facilities and overall development in the Beerwah Assembly constituency.
