Chennai: A total of 67,812 students applied for scanned copies of their Class XII public exams answer sheets this year, a jump from 51,720 applications received last year.Officials from the department said the reduced number of centums in subjects such as social science and accountancy could be the reason for the spike. These students can now download the scans until June 16 by logging in to the website www.dge.tn.gov.in with their registration number and date of birth. The scans will be out in a phased and subject-wise manner.“The scans have been made available for computer science, commerce, accountancy, computer applications, history, economics, business maths, and a few other subjects. Students are also encouraged to apply for revaluation and retotalling soon,” the directorate of govt exams said.Candidates can also download the retotalling/revaluation forms from the website. “They must submit the forms and pay the fee in cash at the office of the assistant director of govt examinations in their respective district by June 16,” the department said in a circular.Candidates from Tenkasi, Ranipet, Tirupathur, Kallakurichi, Chengalpet, and Mayiladuthurai districts alone must submit their forms and pay the prescribed fee in cash at the office of the respective chief education officer.
