Dhubri: A 65-year-old man drowned in the Gangadhar River at Golakganj on Friday.Syed Ali of Borbalar Char village slipped into the river while taking cattle to a nearby sandbar and was swept away by the strong current, sources said. Residents recovered his body after a search and handed it to police.A Golakganj police officer said, “We received information about the drowning incident and immediately rushed to the location. The body was sent to Dhubri Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.”
