Hyderabad: A six-month-old baby girl was allegedly kidnapped by two unidentified men from a footpath in Suraram in the early hours of Monday, while her mother and three siblings slept beside her, police said.According to Suraram police, the complainant, Ch Navanitha (28), a labourer, stated that she and her four daughters were sleeping on the footpath in front of Maharaja Tiles shop, opposite Malla Reddy Narayana Hospital. “At around 2.30 am, two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and took away my six-month-old,” Navanitha said in her complaint.Police said Navanitha’s eldest daughter, aged 10, woke up and raised an alarm, but by the time the family reacted, the accused fled with the infant. Navanitha lodged a complaint at the Suraram police station on the same day. Police registered a case under Section 137(2) of the BNS and said further investigation was underway.
