Rourkela: A police team from Manamunda police station of Boudh district destroyed a cannabis plantation in Bhalu Pahad forest near Bagidia village on Wednesday. In presence of a gazetted officer, revenue staff, excise personnel, forest department staff and witnesses, 52,000 cannabis plants were cut down and set on fire.Boudh SP Kuldeep Meena was present and inspected the cutting.Boudh police has informed about it on Thursday.A case has been registered against unknown individuals for the illegal cultivation of cannabis plants within the forest area and an investigation is currently underway.************
