Kolkata: A 51-year-old man, Nayandip Lai, died on Monday after falling from the roof of his G+3 residential building on Becharam Chatterjee Road in Behala under Panrasree PS around noon, police said. He was rushed to Vidyasagar State General Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Investigators said no suicide note was found. The cops stated they were not ruling out the possibility of either suicide or an accident. DC (Behala southwest) Rahul De said the exact cause of death would be clear after the post-mortem.
Cops are checking CCTV footage and recording statements of family members and apartment residents.
