Jaipur: The 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships will get underway at the SMS Stadium Swimming Pool here on Thursday. The five-day event is organised by the Rajasthan Swimming Association (RSA) under the aegis of Swimming Federation of India.Around 550 swimmers from 33 states, including hosts Rajasthan, will compete for the top honours. Rajasthan is hosting the major swimming event after a long gap of 16 years. In 2010, Rajasthan hosted the Senior National Aquatics Championships.According to the RSA president Anil Vyas the annual nationals will feature 44 individual and 8 relay events. A total of 156 medals, including 52 gold medals, will be at stake.Former state minister and chairperson of the organising committee Lalchand Kataria said all the arrangements have been completed for the competition.Rajasthan TeamBoys: Prateek Kuriya, Aman Samota, Hriday Bhojwani, Mohit Samota, and Dev Sharma.Girls: Ashika Dhakadh, Ashrika Choudhary, and Yashasvi Tiwari.The competition will be organised into two age categories:Group-1: Swimmers aged 11 to 12 years.Group-2: Players aged 13 to 14 years.
