New Delhi: Delhi Police has apprehended four juveniles and a man in connection with an alleged contract killing in Bawana. The Saturday murder was the fourth death in a fight over a plot, in which US-based gangster Himanshu Bhau and his aide, Vicky Hadal, have joined for a share. The recent killing was allegedly directed over video calls from abroad.Joginder alias Kala was shot near Raj Vatika Saturday morning. Police said three men, who were waiting for him, opened multiple rounds and fled on a motorcycle. Joginder was declared dead at a nearby hospital.Within hours, a social media post reportedly by the Himanshu Bhau gang claimed responsibility. The post, shared in the names of Hadal alias Poothiya and associate Daku Kulasia, described the killing as a revenge for the murder of their close associate, Keshav Dabas, and warned that others allegedly involved in that murder would also be targeted. Investigators said Hadal was believed to be operating from Portugal, while Bhau was suspected to be based in the US.The crime branch arrested Krishna (19), a member of the Himanshu Bhau-Vicky Hadal-Daku Kulasia gang, from Rohini Monday. A 7.65mm pistol and two live cartridges were found on him. Separately, outer north district police apprehended the juveniles.Special commissioner of police (crime) HGS Dhaliwal said, “Krishna disclosed that he and his associates were recruited through social media applications by Hadal and Kulasia. The accused were promised money to execute the killing and assured that they would be helped to settle abroad.” Police said handlers orchestrated the operation through audio and video calls from overseas. The accused conducted surveillance on Joginder’s daily routine, and Krishna said he and his associates had procured the weapon for the attack.Police are also examining whether Joginder’s brother, Dharmender, was the actual target. Joginder’s family has alleged that they had repeatedly approached local police over threats in recent months and even alerted them about a possible recce two days before the murder.
